Being pregnant was more difficult for me than running the NYC marathon. Hormone changes were nuts, lack of energy was frustrating and I felt as though my body was not my own.

Exercise during my pregnancy helped me regain some sense of control over my body. It also aided in a relatively physically easy pregnancy. I got very little back pain, no swelling and was able to still be active.

An easier labor and delivery can also be attributed to exercising while pregnant. And there’s no better way to get back to your pre-pregnancy weight than exercise.
